COMPARING

with social media, it’s very hard not to compare yourself to other people. Try to remember people normally only post happy things so looking at somebody’s post you may think that they’re always happy that’s not always the case. I try and focus on what it’s making you happy.

DECLUTTER

This may be a big project, but rather than tackling it all in one go. Give yourself 20 minutes a day over 20 minutes away, whatever fits in with your lifestyle. Start small, start with one area of a room make sure we have a box for giving away one for throwing out.

FRIENDS

It seems obvious, but surround yourself with positive people and make sure you are fitting in sociable time with these positive people are not only will you just think positively you will become positive too. People can drain you so be careful of the people who keep taking from you.

PlAN

Being organised helps you feel happy so sit down and write a plan for the following week of what you want to achieve. Knock them off when you have achieved them and that will give you some satisfaction.

PHONE

unplug your phone, I know it sounds harsh but give yourself an afternoon without your phone. Excessive phone use can lead to changes in the brain and impact on your mood. If you haven’t done this for awhile, you may be surprised how easy it is.

NATURE

Think about Meditation, it does not have to be complicated it could be just five minutes sitting on your own with your own thoughts, deep breathing.
